Earning Points

In addition to our low prices, Calora offers shoppers one of the highest paid rewards programmes available in South Africa. Shop on any Calora Superstore & earn your points in one account.

Each shopper is automatically enrolled in our Loyalty Points System, from the first purchase or through one of the earn methods below (subject to our Terms & Conditions).

There are many ways in which you can earn points: ·

• Making a purchase – each product displays the number of points awarded for that product.
• Posting a review – write a review and we’ll award you 2 points, or 5 points if you’ve purchased the product on Calora Shopping!
• Enter one of our competitions and you may win loyalty points and many other great prizes!
• Watch for our special double the points offers on selected products or at selected times.

Redeeming Your Points

Points can be redeemed at any time and expire only after 3 years from the date they are accumulated. Once redeemed, points can be used towards any purchase on the Calora Shopping Network! The more points you redeem, the higher value cash-back you get as a bonus (see added value column below).

Loyalty Points Terms & Conditions

1. Points expire 3 years from the date they were added to the user’s account. Once points are redeemed, the cash value is added to the shopper’s account. Points that have been converted to their cash value as a gift certificate, expire after 2 years.
2. Neither Loyalty Points, nor points that have been redeemed for a cash credit, can be exchanged for cash. Any value credited to the user through the Loyalty Points Programme, may only be used on Calora Shopping as payment towards goods sold on the website.
3. Calora may at its discretion, adjust the number of points awarded for reviews, products purchased and any other method offered for accumulating points.
4. Points or awarded cash may not be transferred from one user to another user or combined in any way between users.
5. Points awarded for posting a review are subject to the following conditions:

   • A review must contain a minimum of 100 characters;
   • A user may only review a product which has been used by the user;
   • The user agrees to be truthful about their experience with the product being reviewed;
   • Calora reserves the right to limit the number of reviews allowed to be posted by a user;
   • Calora may investigate the activity of a user suspected to be abusing the reviews system in order to accumulate points;
   • Calora reserves the right to suspend / deduct points which were accumulated not in accordance with our Terms & Conditions;
   • Editing by Calora for grammar and spelling errors;
   • Reviews posted on the Calora Network, are the property of Calora;
   • Each review is subject to Calora’s approval process and points are awarded when / if a review is approved;
   • Should a review be deleted off the website by Calora, any points awarded for that review will be deducted off the user’s account;
   • Calora reserves the right to disable a user’s ability to post reviews, should Calora deem the user’s reviews to be of poor quality or the user has been found to be abusive in the past.

6. Points or cash-back collected is subject to deduction or reversal should the purchase associated with those points be reversed (as in credit applied to the purchase or refund) at any time. Should a transaction be reversed or refunded for any reason and the points or cash-back already spent, the user agrees that Calora shall deduct the value of those points/cash-back from the refunded or credited amount due to the user, unless there are points available in the user’s account, in which case Calora shall deduct the applicable points from that account.
7. Calora reserves the right to discontinue or change the the Loyalty Programme system at any time and to compensate each user with a fair value for their accumulated points at the time, based on the cash-back value as published on the Calora website.
8. It is the user’s responsibility to log into their account and track the status of their points and any approaching expiry dates.
9. Points that exceed the maximum level as shown in the table above, shall be redeemed at a level applicable to the points remaining.
10. Calora reserves the right to investigate any suspected fraudulent activity and suspend any account while it is being investigated without the possibility of any points being used during the suspension period.
11. All Calora’s online shops are subject to the same Loyalty Programme and any points accumulated will be applied to the user’s sole account.
12. Points that have been redeemed for a cash value based on the table above, may not be converted back to points at a later stage.
13. Users are not permitted to create additional accounts/profiles in order to take advantage of a special offer more than once.
14. Calora may elect from time to time, to award certain users, any number of Loyalty Points based on their shopping history on the Calora Network. Calora reserves the right to be selective in awarding points to certain users and not to others.
15. It is the right of each shopper not to participate in Calora’s Loyalty Points Programme.
16. Points that are redeemed, are converted to South Africa Rands, inclusive of VAT.
17. Points may only be redeemed based on the sliding scale as shown in the table above. For example – a user that has accumulated 770 points, may only redeem 500 points or elect to wait until a further 230 points are collected which can then be redeemed at the 1000 points level.
18. A user that has been found to abuse the Calora system, software or Terms & Conditions, resulting in the closure of their account, forfeits the rights to any points or cash-back accumulated.
